Shadow on Concrete Wall

Assalamu’alaikum w.r.h

Wishing you the best of health and iman. Amin.

Madrasah Aljunied founded 95 years ago, had witnessed many of her sons and daughters contributing actively in the realm of da’wah and Islamic revivalism and learning. Some have reached even the highest seat in fatwa and religious authority in Singapore and the region.

In upholding this tradition of developing ulama’ and scholars, the madrasah will continue to improve its teaching and learning quality, enhance teachers’ capacity and streamline its systems and processes. This calls for a rigorous effort in developing new understanding of, and cutting-edge yet practical methods and approaches in imparting both religious and acquired sciences.  To this end, the madrasah hopes to further strengthen teaching and learning at school and upgrade its infrastructure.

I am sure the Muslim community will look forward to more positive changes in curriculum, teaching methodologies and student activities in addressing the 21st century educational landscape and modern challenges. These skills and knowledge are essential for a new generation of Muslim scholars and leaders of the future.

Alhamdulillah, I am blessed and humbled to be part of this beloved madrasah. A madrasah that has a proud legacy and has a brighter future to look forward to. As a madrasah with such a long, rich tradition of developing asatizah, scholars and religious thought leaders for the Singapore Muslim community and the region, it must continue to strive forward with its noble intent of developing religious leadership for the post-modern world.

All the above mentioned will not be possible without the do’a and continuous support from the community as a whole.

Let us continue to work together in ensuring that the future graduands of Madrasah Aljunied will be able to contribute significantly to the Muslim community, nation and global.

With warm regards,
