Student leadership in Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah plays a vital role in nurturing responsible, confident, and values-driven individuals. The madrasah views leadership not merely as holding positions, but as an opportunity to serve others, demonstrate exemplary character, and contribute meaningfully to the school community.
The student leadership structure is represented by two main bodies: ITMAJ and M&M. ITMAJ (اتØاد طلبة مدرسة الجنيد الإسلامية) is the Student Council comprising selected Pre-University 1 and Pre-University 2 students who are entrusted with representing the voice of the student body while exemplifying strong character, leadership, and academic commitment. As senior student leaders, ITMAJ members serve as a bridge between students and the school administration, actively contributing to student welfare, supporting school initiatives, and organising programmes that enrich the holistic madrasah experience. They are expected to embody the values of itqan (excellence), ikhlas (sincerity), and ihsan (compassion) while upholding discipline, adab, unity, and a strong sense of amanah (trust).

M&M (Muraqibin & Mufawwadh Ilaihim) consists of student leaders from all levels who support the daily life of the madrasah. They assist in maintaining discipline, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring smooth school operations. As frontline leaders, they model good adab, promote teamwork, uphold responsibility, and encourage mutual respect among their peers, contributing to a safe, orderly, and nurturing learning environment.

Together, ITMAJ and M&M form a complementary leadership framework that strengthens student voice, encourages collaboration, and cultivates leadership grounded in Islamic values. Through their service, initiative, and dedication, these student leaders contribute to building a caring, disciplined, and future-ready madrasah community aligned with the institution’s mission of developing leaders grounded in faith and knowledge.
